In the beginning Donna enjoyed painting images of France, the country
she fell in love with in her early adulthood. Now, what has become more
and more significant to her, is the actual application of the
paint—thicker texture and use of various brushstrokes to express
vitality, spontaneity and movement. Her work is characterized by bold
use of color. Though originally trained as an illustrator, she now
leans towards a looser, slightly off kilter, and distilled depiction of
people and places. Donna paints intuitively and as she has matured as a
painter, she finds myself wanting to push the boundaries of shapes and
forms into the borders of the abstract. It is this delicate balance
between the representational and the abstract that currently fascinates
and challenges her in her continuing artistic journey.

Joe Drury uses found and saved glass to create his one of a kind glass
sculptures. The glass is placed in his ceramic kiln and heated to a
plastic state in and over molds. This process fuses and reforms the
glass into new and wonderful shapes inspired by his years on and near
the sea. Powdered glass enamels are fused to the glass sculpture to
create brilliant color fields and patterns. The glass is then carefully
cooled and annealed to remove all stress. This process takes at least
24 hours per sculpture.

Take Interstate 71 North to Hwy 35 exit 57 (Sparta Warsaw).
Follow Hwy 35 South which becomes Hwy 127.
Go through Owenton where Hwy 127 becomes Hwy 22.
At Hwy 227 South, turn right.
Two miles to Hwy 330 East - Winery on your left.
Elk Creek Vineyards is located 84 miles from Louisville through
Frankfort.
Take Interstate 64 East to Exit 53 at Frankfort.
Follow Hwy 127 North to intersection with Hwy 22 - turn right.
Turn right onto Hwy 227 South.
Two miles to Hwy 330 East - Winery on your left..

Follow Hwy 22 West to Hwy 227 South - turn left.
Follow Hwy 227 two miles to Hwy 330 East - Winery is on your left.
Freeway (via I71 South)
Take Interstate 71 South toward Louisville to Hwy 35 Exit 57
(Sparta/Warsaw)
Turn Left and Follow Hwy 35 to Owenton
Once in Owenton, Go thru 3 Traffic Lights
Turn Right at the Flashing Yellow Light onto 227 South
Follow Hwy 227 two miles to Hwy 330 East - Winery is on your left
